The seminar entitled “Stepping up with the fundamentals of competition law: key developments in digital markets and regulated industries” aims at assisting judges in their task of reviewing the decisions of national competition authorities and enforcing competition law in cases relating to digital and regulated markets. In this regard, the seminar will provide national judges with a comprehensive overview of relevant recent EU practice and case law concerning digital markets and regulated sectors. To better highlight the application of traditional EU competition law concepts in such markets, the seminar will also cover recent developments on key concepts of EU competition law, such as dominance and abuse as well as guidance and enforcement practice with regard to agreements between economic operators, including cooperation agreements between competitors and policy considerations that arise in digital markets, such as innovation, security of supply and sustainability.
